As a current City Council Member, a business owner, and longtime community volunteer, she is dedicated to keeping our city strong, safe, and thriving.
About Mindy
Mindy Fernandes brings both experience and dedication to her role as a Walled Lake City Council Member. As a business owner, she understands the importance of fiscal responsibility, strategic planning, and accountability in decision-making. She has also served on the Walled Lake Downtown Development Authority (2017–2020) and was appointed to the State of Michigan Board of Psychology (2016–2023).
In addition, Mindy has also been very involved in the community. She is a past president of the Lakes Area Rotary (2019–2020), volunteered with the Walled Lake Elementary PTA as Reflections Chair, and has supported local organizations including the Boy Scouts, Hospitality House, and city-wide events like the annual Beach Party.

Fiscal Responsibility of City Funds
Careful management of city funds to reduce debt and protect taxpayers.

Supporting police, fire, and emergency services with the training and equipment they need.

Protecting our lakes and ensuring clean, safe water for all residents.
